What to do if I am unable to update Google Play Services?

1: Clear Cache and data:

To clearing cache and data can also update the Google Play services in a fast way. Before clearing data, it is important to save your information and data regarding transit card, payment cards or any other necessary data. Here are following steps to follow for clearing cache and data;

1. Open your devices settings and in “applications and notifications” search for Google Play services
2. Click on “Storage” and clear cache
3. Restart your device

2: Update Play System:

In this method, you have to download and update Play System before updating Google Play services. Steps are as follows;

1. Go to your device settings
2. Navigate for “About phone”
3. If download and install is available for Google Play System, then click on “Download and Install”
4. Restart your phone after downloading and installing device play system.

3: Uninstalling the Updates:

Sometimes users cannot uninstall the entire Google Play services completely, and they remove or uninstall the updates. It will stop the force of your device and update the application automatically. Here are guidelines for uninstalling the updates as follows;

1. Go to device settings,
2. Navigate for “Application manager”
3. And get all applications that were installed by Google Play services,
4. At the top right corner, click three dots and click on the option “uninstall updates”
5. Restart your devices.

4: Disabling to Google Play Services:

This is another method for updating as to disable Google Play services, for this option you have to follow the steps as follows;

1. Go to device settings and find “Application manager”
2. In all applications, find Google Play services and search the “Disable” option and click on it.
3. If this button will not work then, in settings, go to “security” click on it  
4. Click on “other security” or “More Security & Privacy”
5. Switch on to “Find my device”
6. Now again try to “disable” for Google Play services again.
7. When it will disable then again enable it.
8. Now restart your device and hopefully this method will help you in updating Google Play services.
